Youtube Favorite: Guadalupe Mountains National Park – Guadalupe Peak
From YouTube:
Lindsay and I had the fortune of visiting Guadalupe Mountain National Park in May of 2014. The entire park is well kept and well organized. The views from the campground were gorgeous. The entire area has to be experienced as film, pictures or descriptions will not do it justice. We both overcame minor obstacles with the help of each other. It was not only a scenic trip, it was a bonding time for us as we were able to rely on each other when we each needed a bit of help.
We both had a 100oz Camelbak bladder of water and three snack items. The items were two bar-type foods and one Ostrim jerky stick. This was all not enough for us. I finished my water 3/4 of the way up. Luckily, Lindsay shared hers the remainder of the trip. It was not fun at all without water. My suggestion, bring more food and water or even a bit of a Gatorade type product for some sugar and jazz like that.
We will both recommend this as a must-do in one’s life. I do not believe it is a good family vacation as the climb is a challenge.
