The Guadalupe Mountains. Hidden in the Lincoln National Forest, this area stretches from Southeastern New Mexico into Texas. The Camp Wilderness Ridge Trail starts out at a dead end road and goes for about 3 miles until you get to McKattrick Canyon. If you continue on the trailm, you will cross over into Texas and into the Guadalupe National Park. Elevation at the top of the ridge was about 7, 300 FT.
